We have put together an exciting 2 days of photography showing Perth locals and visitors how to take beautiful images of some of the most famous and unusual locations in Fremantle & further afield in The Swan Valley. Our itinerary includes a walking tour through the cosmopolitan town of Fremantle where you will see an eclectic mix of street life, people, cars and buildings and a day trip to the Swan Valley where wineries, gourmet food & produce and art prevails.L

THE TRIP:

This popular Perth photography tour takes in the best locations and encapsulates the natural beauty and hedonistic lifestyle with an emphasis on its stunning natural beauty. Perth has its beautiful port city of Fremantle which is recognised as the best preserved 19th Century seaport in the world and has over 150 buildings that are classified by the National Trust. Together with superb landscape, food, wine and art opportunities in The Swan Valley this tour emphasis lifestyle photography in outdoor settings.

Our 2 day program is designed to be flexible and custom tailored to our clients requests. The overriding consideration is to show you the lesser known, less touristy gems that Perth & its surrounds has to offer. We know the very best, the most photogenic, the least crowded places to appreciate the world’s most isolated city. Perth really is about experiencing the beautiful white sanded beaches on foot, marvelling at the expansive clear blue skies, having a platter of gourmet goodies and a chilled bottle of wine over lunch and taking memorable images! 

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS:

• The Port City of Fremantle: A hip, arty, historic gem with its cafe scene, beautiful federation architecture and interesting street photography abounds
• Fishing Boat Harbour: Fishing boats sit alongside million dollar launches whilst tourists avoid losing their fish and chips to the seagulls! 
• Fremantle Markets: A colourful, lively market in the heart of Fremantle. Lots of tourist-oriented and arty goods on sale. Great for images of fresh produce 
• West End Fremantle and the Maritime Museum: We will discover iconic heritage hotels and buildings (many of which are home to Notre Dame University) before exploring the corrugated iron storage sheds of the port and the iconic Maritime Museum. Its reflective metal and glass elements provide a great photographic opportunity.
• Historic Guildford : James Rd is full of an eclectic mix of antique & bic-a-brac shops
• The Swan Valley : we visit the friendly & rustic Lancaster Winery for free wine and cheese tastings. Houghtons winery has a great cellar where we practise low light shooting before ample landscapes opportunies in the lush environs.

TOUR STYLE:

Walking, car - All day parking is available at Carpark 31 just south of Little Creatures for $1.20 per hour for Day 1 in Fremantle. Transport is provided for Day 2 by way of car pooling from Guildford

MEETING PLACES:

Day 1 Fremantle : Little Creatures Brewery - 40 Mews Rd Fremantle (look for the red hire bikes). We meet at 10 am with the tour concluding at 5 pm

Day 2 Swan Valley : The Lounge Room on James - 187 James Rd Guildford WA
